FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Chambers Families:

March brings uninterrupted teaching and learning at Chambers.  I am happy to report that everywhere around the building I see students engaged in activities to strengthen reading, writing, and math skills.  Our goal is to have students well-prepared to be successful at the next level when they leave Chambers.  Thank you for sharing that goal with us and for finding many ways to support and help your student.

A question you may have is “How will I know that my child is on target to have the skills they need?  You can be assured that our staff is monitoring progress closely, and providing support as needed.   Our second reporting period is coming up in a few weeks.  Watch for report cards coming home on Monday, March 17.  This is one of the many ways teachers and families communicate about student progress.

One example of families supporting and enriching the learning is the high number of students participating in the Science Fair.  These projects will be displayed in the library.  Please join us to take a look at the experiments conducted by Chambers students. Family Science Night is March 13.

Take care,

Kathy Drouhard

Parking Lot Reminders

·        At the drop-off/pick-up area, please pull as far forward as you can.  After 1 minute, circle around again or park in a parking space to wait.

·        DO NOT stop in the cross walk to pick up your student.  Wait until there is room to pull forward unless otherwise directed.

·        If you are parking to wait for your student, we suggest that you park on the west side of the parking lot to avoid pulling out into the cars waiting to enter the pick up area.

·        ALWAYS use the crosswalk for your safety as well as setting a positive example to students.

Our priorities are always the safety of students & parents, and the efficient movement of traffic.
