FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Chambers Families:
In April we formally thanked our volunteers. For those of you who were unable to join us
at that time I would like to offer our appreciation
and also to recognize all the support and time that you offer to our Chambers
children.
Thank you to our:
We also want to offer a heartfelt thank you to all
parents/guardians who support the learning every day through those daily tasks
of checking backpacks for communication and schoolwork, and helping with homework.
Another subject I want to talk with you about this
month is writing. Did you know that students
at Chambers Primary practice different types of writing? For example students may be learning about expository,
narrative, or persuasive writing. At Chambers all students are engaged in
writing. Take a moment to ask your son
or daughter about their writing. Are they writing about a topic in
science? Perhaps they are writing about
an idea or theme to go along with our literacy curriculum. Please take this opportunity to have your son
or daughter share their writing with you. Perhaps they would like to share their
writing at the Chambers Writers’ Fair on May 29th. If that is an interest be sure to send in the
purple form that came home with your child.
We have more in the office if you need one.
Take care,
Kathy Drouhard
